Red Dollars were originally introduced in 1926 as Red Hot Dollars - not because they were cinnamon flavored, but because they were a "red hot" new item. The name was changed to Red Raspberry Dollars in the 1940s to reflect the flavor.

This is my favorite, all time candy! When I was younger, it used to be one of the candy counter choices at the movie theater. I was so heartbroken when they did not sell it anymore because I loved that raspberry flavor so much!
