Ever wonder how Coca-Cola bottles got their iconic shape? In 1915, the Coca-Cola company held a contest among its bottle suppliers to create a new bottle for the beverage. Earl R. Dean of the Root Glass Company ended up creating the winning design, which he made based on the shape of a cocoa pod - one of the two main ingredients in original Coca-Cola.
