Taipei, Taiwan Favorite candy: Grape Laffy Taffy What I learned from this unique collaboration: It's hard to find out how to use Laffy Taffy without melting. On the other hand, the melted Laffy Taffy was easy to use when creating texture. Taffy Blossom Garment description & inspiration: Like a bouquet of roses, candy conveys emotion—no language necessary. This garment represents that sweet surprise and excitement, forming a voluminous bouquet made from layers of candy love. The harmony of a simple rose—surface, shape and texture—gives the garment an ethereal quality, and bunched roses made from Laffy Taffy transform a natural wonder into a candy fantasy. Taffy Blossom is will engage the senses, blossoming right in front of you. Candy used:
From a sticky mess in your mouth to finely articulated flowers, Ting is really on to something here using Laffy Taffy. This dress is so delicate and delicious – floral embellishments, bleeding lots of color. This really looks to me like a walk in the garden. I love the rainbow happiness of this. - Michael Fink I love this Rastafarian inspired and fruity colored dress! Its use of tart candy colors is very shocking and festive. I think the way the Laffy Taffy is curled into rolls and rose like shapes tone down the electrifying candy color and make it soft and sweet! A delicious combination! - Dylan Lauren Luscious! Like a swirling, pastel river. - Paula Wallace Vote nowBack to designers |
