Thanksgiving 2015 Inspiration: Dylan’s Favorites
Thanksgiving is a favorite time of year for so many us, marking the beginning of the holiday season with beautiful fall foliage and deliciously warm food. But there’s more to Thanksgiving than just sweets and eats, as it’s the one time of year set aside to truly reflect on all of life’s blessings. How can we express true gratitude while also decorating festively? One way to illustrate the thankfulness of the season is to decorate using personal and creative touches that show ingenuity—with color galore.
- What are some of your favorite ways to decorate for Thanksgiving using candy?
- I like creating place cards with our chocolate foiled turkeys by fastening a ribbon and hangtag with the names of dinner guests around the necks. Instead of flowers for the table centerpiece, I put turkey lollipops in a vase. They are not only decorative and colorful, but also perfect for dessert.
- I love the 3D turkey and pumpkin cookies! They’re wonderfully designed and more unique than traditional flat cookies. I’ll be bringing them along to visit my in-laws as a hostess gift!
- This year I am most thankful for my two children and a healthy family! Wishing all friends of Dylan’s Candy Bar the happiest Thanksgiving.
Sweets clearly aren’t just for displaying after dinner anymore, as their purpose can far transcend that of simply dessert. Be it using mini turkeys to kindly welcome guests, framing festive lollipops to accompany the main show, or surprising those who mean most to us with a twist on old classics, our 2015 Collection was designed with adornment in mind. Because candy has and will always make holidays feel more special—and it starts from your very first one. Happy Thanksgiving, all!
